  1. Life 3.0 by Max Tegmark - The best book on the future of humanity, what its potential is, how we got here and how to build a future of high utility. I would say this is my favourite book of all time.
  2. Superintelligence by Nick Bostrom - For a long time the most highly regarded book on AI safety. Other books include Human Compatible and The Coming Wave.
  3. The Singularity is Near by Ray Kurzweil - The second best bookl on the future of humanity written by one of the most prolific futurists.
  4. Waking up by Sam Harris - Best book on the importance of meditation.
  5. A brief histrory of nearly everything by Bill Bryson - An amazing summary of the history of how we know what we know about the universe.
  6. Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harrari - One of the best books on the history of humanity.
  7. 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harrari - One of the best books giving an overview of the issues facing civilisation in the early part of the 21st century.
